Golden Fall

Fall is in the air!!! We had lots of beautiful weather during last month. We were especially lucky to have our church's pumpkin patch on the most gorgeous day. Besides that, there were hardly anyone else except our church friends. So we totally enjoyed our time there: feeding the animals, riding the hay ride, having a picnic, roaming around the farm ...

Before we headed off to the pumpkin patch, Emily and Andy went to church for their Super Saturday activities. They raced, played balls, did fall crafts, sang, and listened to the stories. Emily said " it was the best day ever"!

One of our FriendSpeak worker invited all the FriendSpeak readers to his house to fellowship with his Sunday night small group. Everyone had a great time! Bob and Bill were such talented entertainers that laughters filled the whole house all through the night.

We went to the State Fair with two other families at church. The kids had lots of fun! Emily made a new friend Kennedie. When I asked her what was her favorite part of the day, she said "playing with Kennedie!" We did "Little Hands on the Farm", fed the animals at the Children's Hospital Barnyard, watched the parade and the music lights, and watched the Lantern Festival.

This goat snapped the feeding cup from Andy's hand. Andy started crying.

Daddy came over and got the cup back. Andy smiled again.

Here is the brand-new Big Tex:

The dinosaur eggs

These towers are all built of the ceramic China plates, spoons, etc.

Here are all the kiddos. A precious bundle!

Andy's passion has been hot air balloon. When we told the kids we were going to see the hot air balloon in Plano. They were so excited! We went there at night so they only lighted the hot air balloon三 and didn't launch them in the air. Next time we may try to get there during the day to see them launching into the air.

Emily's teacher Mrs. Jackson had birthday this month. Emily said she wanted to make a birthday card "all by myself"! This was the final product that she handed to me after standing by the table for fifteen minutes. I'm not sure her teacher could understand everything she wrote. But I think she did a pretty good job trying to sound out words without any help.

As we enter fall, the rest of the months will fly by in no time. Our October calendar is already full now. I pray that in the midst of our busyness, we'll "fall in love with Jesus" again!
