Make up post: The End of School

This is a make-up post to document the things that I never had chance writing about. To refresh the memory, I'll just post some pictures.

The last month of school was really a busy one. The kids had their carnivals, field day, graduation, piano guild audition, recital, and the class parties.

These are some of their field day pictures. You can tell how much fun they had ...
Emily and her classmates

Andy and his classmates

Andy graduated from the Kindergarten! He was the piano company for his music teacher at the graduation performance.

This is a picture of Emily's class at the class party. It was really a wonderful class. It was a great experience for me to be their class parent and I know I'll miss the class!

Mrs. Saporito was such a kind teacher that she gave me a gift card at the class party. Many kids gave me hugs for helping with the class - what a blessing!

I thought this was funny - Emily wrote it on the 100th day

We visited the heritage festival at the Heard Museum

Our church had a father and daughter tea party. Emily had fun!

Emily earned seven badges and three patches and one service star at the end of the year at AHG! She is a proud girl!

Our FriendSpeak friend Frank invited us for a lunch when his parents visited America. We had a feast - Andy ate 33 dumplings to top off everyone!

Two of our Friendspeak readers Vickie and Fei went back to China. We had a going-away lunch with them and Fei's mom. We will miss them!
We had our Friendspeak readers Lilian, Jason, Wei and Tessie over for lunch. We shared a wonderful time together.

Emily and Andy both got the National Member certificate and gold pins for their piano Guild audition. They both played ten songs from their memories in front of the judges to qualify. Way to go!
Summer ... our neighborhood kids gathered in our drive way to play together

I found this on Emily's desk
These are the garlic we harvested from our garden

Emily was singing and acting out "Father Abraham" in the backyard. She is so creative! It made me laughing hard.

This is the end of year recital. Andy and Emily played a duet and a solo. They got wonderful feedback from the audience. Mrs. Harman made treble clef and bass clef for Emily and Andy using the audience's feedback. What a great gift!
The weekend before we headed to China, Emily attended the three-day Texas Music Teacher Association convention (Andy was too young to attend). She was part of an ensemble. That was also the Father's Day weekend when we traveled to Tulsa. I hardly had any time to prepare for our trip. That was probably why I forgot to bring my green card ...

Heww ......that's it. I finally caught up!
